In anul centenarului, Montegrappa s-a orientat catre o forma geometrica pentru creatiile sale. Este vorba despre octogon, figura geometrica avand opt laturi care caracterizeaza numeroase instrumente de scris Montegrappa precum Reminiscence, Privilege, Symphony, Emblema si NeroUno.
In recunoasterea acestei forme primare si elementare, noua colectie de accesorii barbatesti Filigree se inspira din textura model care se regaseste pe butoni, acul de cravata, brelocurile de chei si clipsul pentru bani. Filigree este o textura de octogoane care se repeta formand o imagine fascinanta si captivanta. Este un design care recunoaste de asemenea diverse culturi care pot fi regasite in fabrici, arhitecturi, elemente de mobilier si alte forme, din locuri indepartate precum India, Orientul Mijlociu, Rusia si America de Sud. Pentru crearea acestei texturi de octogoane multiple, ochiul Italian pentru suprafete contrastante a produs atat segmente periate cat si lustruite pe o baza de otel inoxidabil.
